10 medical colleges of Kazakhstan will be reorganized into top colleges of medicine, including, 6 in 2016 and 4, in 2017. Program of applied baccalaureate for the speciality "Nursing care" developed with participation of Finnish experts will be introduced in these educational institutions.
Implementation of project on introduction of applied baccalaureate for the speciality "Nursing care" was started by the (further MHSD RK) Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development of the RK in 2014 in experiment regime on basis of 6 state colleges of medicine (Astana college of Medicine; Kokshetau college of medicine; Kyzylorda college of medicine; Pavlodar college of medicine; Republican college behind training and retraining of middle medical and pharmacy officers; Western Kazakhstan college of medicine).
In the framework of implementation of the Government RK "Densaulyk" healthcare development program Road map on modernization of system of sisters' education in Kazakhstan for 2016-2019 jointly with colleagues from universities of applied sciences of JAMK and Lahti (Finland) was developed for 2016-2019 by the specialists of MHSD RK.
The program of applied baccalaureate envisages the principles of dual training in accordance with Europe guidelines including implementation of industrial practice on clinical bases under direction of qualified teacher in the volume not less than 60-70% of the total amount of hours of training (the term of training 3,5 years). This program is widely disseminated in European union countries and aimed at training of highly professional nurses with reinforced practical training.

We remind, that today 26 state and 37 private colleges of medicine function in Kazakhstan. Annually they graduate on average 12 thousand medical secondary level workers. Today average medical staff drafts a lot of employees category of industry– around 160 thousand specialists.
