On Monday, March 25, Minister of labor and social protection of population of RK Berdibek Saparbayev visited the capital's Social service center "Sharapat", where he got acquainted with the life and leisure of the ward, living conditions and care for the elderly and disabled.
"The state pays special attention to the support of socially vulnerable categories of citizens, including the elderly and people with disabilities. This is one of the priorities of the social policy of our state. At the XVIII Congress of "Nur Otan" party the Head of State identified one of the main challenges improving the quality of life and well-being of our citizens," - said Berdybek Saparbayev during the conversation with the guests of the center.
Social service center "Sharapat" has been working since 1989 and is designed for 400 places for permanent or temporary residence of elderly and disabled people, as well as for people in difficult life situations. Currently 321 people aged from 27 to 97 years live here. Including, two participants of the Second World War, 8 - equated to participants of the Second World War, 25 home front workers, 4 – repressed.
A complex of health and social rehabilitation services is provided for people under care. In particular, non-drug methods of treatment are used: hippotherapy and swimming, health groups "Tonus", "Active morning", "Nordic walking". People with disabilities living in the facility, provided strollers, walkers, crutches, orthopedic shoes, tiflo means, hygiene products.
Also, in order to provide social and psychological services and maintain psycho-emotional stability and relaxation, there are a sensory room, sand and ionotherapy rooms. There are "Folk crafts", "Skillful hand", "Art of drawing", sewing workshop, shoe workshop, workshop for the repair of wheelchairs.
